grazie a Ciche per aver trovato il link a questa nuova missione di CoP, penso sia utile postarlo per evitare che possa andare perso, così che tutti possono consultarlo come promemoria, se via via ci saranno novità da aggiungere, potremo farlo^^

THE QUEST

Talk to Vanessa in Ru'Lude Gardens. She's on the right side as you enter from stairs zone. I believe the condition for this quest is that you must be at the point in your CoP missions where you can enter the Promyvion Areas. Our WHM had grabbed all the cutscenes he needed, but had never actually beaten any of the Promvions, and he still got the quest just fine.

So, you have your party together, you are talking to Vanessa. Tell her you want to help her out, and when she gives you a list of areas to choose from, choose one, get the Battlefield Entry Key Item for, let's say, Dem (can't remember the name of it right now) and then talk to her again to get the other 2 Battlefield Entry Key Items (Mea and Holla). You can hold all 3 at once, no problem.

Now head to the Promyvion of your choice and go up to the top EXACTLY AS YOU WOULD FOR NORMAL PROMY MISSIONS. Enter the Spire of Dem (or Holla, or Mea) and approach the Web of Recollections. This will be the SAME DOOR YOU USED TO START THE PROMY BCNMs. Since you have the appropriate key item on you, you will be given the option to enter another battlefield. See below for names of specific battlefields.

THE BATTLEFIELDS

Promyvion - Dem

Location: Spire of Dem
Battlefield Name: "You Are What You Eat"
Level Cap: 30
Recommended Gear: Nothing Special to Recommend

Ingester NM

Special Attacks:

Vanity Drive (Normal Damage Attack - Around 50-150HP)
Fission (Some kind of buff for the NM...effect unknown)
Spirit Absorption (HP Drain Attack)
Quadratic Continuum (Normal Damage Attack - Hit for only 18 dmg)
He seems to have a randomly occuring MP Drain ability as an added effect to his normal attacks.
Battle tip: This guy can spawn one (probably more) Wanderer mob as a henchman. You will need someone who can pull these mobs off your tank to save shadows. Don't try to kill it though. Just take hate and then continue pummeling the Ingester.

Promyvion - Mea

Location: Spire of Mea
Battlefield Name: "Playing Host"
Level Cap: 30
Recommended Gear: Antidotes (His poison takes 11 HP per tick!) You might not be able to wait for Poisona!

Envier NM

Special Attacks:

Murk (AOE Gravity)
Promyvion Brume (AOE Physical Damage 100-150HP PLUS 11HP per tick AOE POISON!)
Carousel (AOE Physical Damage 100-250)
I assume this guy also has some kind of henchman spawn, but we didn't see it.
Battle tip: This is AOE madness with this guy. You really don't want to be anywhere near the mob unless you have to. Ideally, one tank should be keeping this guy locked to one spot. If hate gets pulled towards a group of mages, that could be the end if he decides to Carousel twice in a row (the Promy-Mea NM did this to us). Keep everyone spread out, away from tank, and ride the edge of the hate line.

Promyvion - Holla

Location: Spire of Holla
Battlefield Name: Simulant
Level Cap: 30
Recommended Gear: Poison (to counteract AOE sleep)

Cogitator NM

Special Attacks:
Trinary Tap (Steal up to 3 Status Effects and gives them to the NM)
Trinary Absorption (HP Drain ~200HP)
Winds of Promyvion (Erase a negative status effect from the NM)
Name Unknown: AOE Curse/Sleep (we were lucky, he didn't use it on us)
At 50%, he spawned a Weeper mob (a 2nd one spawned in our battle at 10%)
Battle Tip: Anyone who is going to be physically engaging this mob should NOT, I repeat, NOT eat food. Protect and Shell are also no no's. These status effects will be sucked off of you by Trinary Tap and give those effects to the mob.

THE GOODS

So why would you do any of these? What's in it for your character?

Well, after the battle is over, an Enigmatic Sphere will appear in the middle of the arena. Once one person touches the sphere (just like a BCNM treasure chest) it triggers the dealing out of rewards. The following rewards are for ONE BATTLE. Keep in mind you can do all 3.

WARNING: If anyone is currently dead when the sphere is touched, that person will not receive their 3000k XP. Be patient and let the WHM raise any dead before touching it.

- The first, and probably best reward is 3000 XP for each person in your PT on the jobs they are currently using. It is immediately added to your XP total...this is not an Eco Warrior Page Item.

- The second type of reward is Memory Cluster drops. These act just like Crystal Clusters. Activate a Memory Cluster and you get 12 of the corresponding memory (a full stack to sell in AH). These are used by Alchemists to make Anima, so you stand to make some gil from that. One example of a Memory Cluster name... "Cluster of Burning Memories". This will give you a stack of 12 Burning Memories when activated. The Memory Clusters consistently dropped 3 at a time from each ENM we defeated. As a party we received 9 clusters total after beating all 3 battles.

- The third reward is the RARE/EX Vision drops. These items can be traded to Vanessa in Ru'Lude Gardens for new Lv. 35 earrings. All of the earrings are RARE and add +3 to some skill or ability, i.e. +3 Healing Magic, +3 Dark Magic, +3 Shield Skill. The earrings are NOT EX so they can be sold on the AH. Out of 3 ENM battles, we only got one RARE/EX Vision drop called "Painful Vision". When traded to Vanessa, our WHM (who won the lot) received a "Dark Earring" (+3 Dark Magic). Only time will tell what the average drop rate for the Vision items is. But, for now, at least, we know they are NOT A GUARANTEED DROP.

As for the earrings...well, they're of questionable use. Get em and sell em, I say. I'm not sure if any of them will become super popular, but adding only +3 to a skill doesn't seem to warrant much money to be spent on them. Again, only time will tell.

THE RESULTS

Personal Experience: Here's what we ended up with after a run of all 3 ENM battles.
9000 Experience Points
9 Memory Clusters
1 Painful Vision --> Dark Earring
Total time taken: 2.5 hours

PT Composition: NIN/WAR, RNG/NIN, RNG/NIN, RNG/NIN, WHM/BLM, BRD/WHM

THE AFTERMATH

As per the new patch, you will now be able to choose where you'd like to tele to at the end of each of these battles. For example, if you just fought Dem, and activate the tele, you are given a choice between "Spire Entrance" and "Konschtat Highlands". What this means is that you can kill two birds with one stone by fighting an ENM, then tele right back to the Spire Entrance, and immediately fight the normal Promyvion battle, without traveling all that way again. Our pt did this for our WHM who had none of his Promys completed. Kudos to SE on that one!

ENM REDUX

Win or lose, you can only attempt these battles once each week. Unlike Eco Warrior, which resets every Sunday, Vanessa keeps track of the specific time you completed the battle and will not give you another Battlefield Entry Item for that battlefield until 7 days have passed. The nice thing is that you can go to her anytime and check when you'll be due up to receive your next key item. She gives you your reset time in both Vana'Diel and Earth time. As far as I can tell, each battlefield's reset time is kept separate from the others. So you could stagger your battles one every couple days forever, hehe.

CREDITS

I wrote this. You're free to use it for personal use, but if you're going to put it up on another website, please ask first. I don't really want it going up on any sites that charge any kind of subscription fees. Send me an e-mail at and let me know how you're going to use it. You can also just post a link to it, in fact I would prefer that. Thanks and Happy ENMing!
